Hi,

Basically, if the QT dependancies are installed on your computer, there’s nothing special to do in order to run kochizz. Uncompress the gzip file, and double-click on the "kochizz" icon. The application should be started.

If the QT library is not installed, it’s little bit harder. The best thing to do is to use a package manager like Aptitude ou Synaptic to install the Qt 4 librairies. You can also try to use the shell script but if you’re a real beginner the easier solution is really to install these files.

Which distro do you run ? Please note that using Apache require a minimal knowledge of Unix - so it might not be the first thing to do as a newbie ;-)

Regards,

A.R.

Hi,

I don’t know whether these libraries (dependendcies?) are installed
- I get the following: error while loading shared libraries:
libQtAssistantClient.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file
or directory.

The distribution I’ve installed is openSUSE 10.2.

And, of course, you’re right - configuring Apache is not for beginners. To make the things even "worse" I try to install Mono for handling asp.net 2.0 requests. This is my ultimate goal (so far).

So, if you or anybody else can help I’d be really gratefull. Thanks again.

Hi,

I do not use OpenSuse, so we can’t give you the exact command to install Qt librairies needed by Kochizz.

It seems that OpenSuse uses Yast as a packet manager,  so try to get information about Yast on specialised forums. The question is : how to make Yast install Qt librairies (4.3 minimum) ?

I’m afraid I can’t help you more :(

Regards.
